Wag Calendar Dogs 2021 : Meet “Potter”, Mr December ♥️

My name is Potter and I’m a 7-year-old retired racing greyhound, and I live in North Tyneside with my parents and little sister (also a greyhound!) called Harmony.

I’ve been a Wag dog since 2019 and I visit the residents a Redesdale Court in North Tyneside with my mam, Ellen.

In April 2019, Ellen lost her mam to pancreatic cancer and she was cared for by the team at Redesdale Court in her final weeks. When visiting, she met a lovely whippet called Sammy and when she adopted me a few weeks later, she knew she wanted to make me a wag dog! After six months, I passed the test and started visiting the lovely people at Redesdale for cuddles and treats.

I love visiting and wearing my bandana, everyone’s so pleased to see me, I get lots of cuddles and treats. Some people cry they are so happy to see me and they say I remind them of their dogs, everyone’s smiling before I go home though. I love it.

I already have a Christmas jumper and hat, so I am ready for Santa! I can’t wait to nap all day, eat plenty of treats and watch festive films with my mam, dad and little sister.
