Wag Calendar Dogs 2021 : Meet “Spud”, Our Perfect Back Page ♥️

My name is Spud and I’m a 2 year old Schnoodle. I live in Whickham with my owners Lynne and Kev plus Buttons the cat. Buttons is the boss!

Since I was a puppy I’ve helped Lynne care for her mum Anne who suffered with dementia. I went everywhere with them. Lynne soon realised the happiness I brought to Anne and our lovely friends at Rhythm Not Blues in Chester le Street. She decided to make me an official Friendship Dog. I passed my test just before lockdown.

Unfortunately Anne lost her battle in October and I miss her lots. This has made it even more important to carry on helping others.

Wherever I go I make people smile and they reward me with lots of cuddles and the odd treat! I love meeting people and enjoy lots of fuss.

I’ll be spending Christmas giving extra cuddles to my family as it’s been a tough few months.
