Wag’s inaugural Golf Day was tee-rrific!
72 golfers took part in our first Golf Day on Friday 17th June, held in aid of Wag & Company at Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club. Golfers played one of the finest golf courses in Northumberland to raise funds to enable Wag friends for older dog lovers in our North East communities.
Special thanks to volunteer organiser of the event Alastair Lambie who worked tirelessly to arrange the day, to Director of Golf Richard Suttie and everyone at Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club, to everyone who donated raffle prizes, Paul and Vanessa our exceptional raffle organisers, Visiting Wag Teams Mandy with Annie and Kate with Wedgie who came to tell everyone why what they do is so important and, last but not least, hole sponsors: Davy York, Maddison Golf, Michael & Linda Morris, The Works, The White Swan in Stokesley and Mr Rob Lambie.
Huge thanks to all those who signed up teams to come and support the Wag & Company Golf Day and to so many of our golfers who so generously bought raffle tickets and made donations to Wag. Congratulations to the day’s winners!
It was really lovely meeting everyone, thank you so much to everyone involved. £1,800 has been raised so far – that’s 4 Visiting Wag Teams making people smile for a whole year!
