Visiting Wag Team Carolyn and Pippa visit Mr & Mrs T in North Tyneside

Mr & Mrs T live in North Tyneside, and Neil was referred to us by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) in February this year. For health reasons, he’s become unable to access the community himself now as he always used to, and they can no longer have a dog of their own either.

Neil and Jenny have had dogs all their lives, and they’ve missed them so much.

We introduced the very beautiful Pippa the Lhasa Apso with her mum Carolyn. It was love at first sight; Pippa quickly made herself at home on Neil’s knee, had a cuddle and some treats, kissed him on the nose, and then joined him in having a little snooze – really lovely.

Pippa loves them both now, but Neil is her special friend, and everyone is delighted at how settled Pippa is with him.

They all have a great deal in common and thoroughly enjoy each other’s company. In fact, they really miss getting out and about, and Carolyn and Pippa are going to start taking them on short, slow walks and then to the beach and their favourite cafe when the weather settles; they’re all really looking forward to that.

As the referrer from CNTW said: “This was a perfect match, just what he needed! It also gives Jenny a chance to have a chat over a cuppa with Carolyn”.

Another important Wag friendship enabled by a very, very sweet Lhasa Apso!
