Welcoming new Friends of Wag and growing our community
It’s such an honour for us when people choose to support us. We are particularly grateful to our Friends of Wag, who give regularly and help to enable over 2,300 people across the North East to regularly benefit from the company of our special Wag teams.
It’s thanks to you all that we can continue to grow and to provide our services without charge, so that no one need ever miss out.
Did you know we have three different types of Friends – individual Friends, Corporate Friends and Community Friends?
Individual Friends, joining from £5 a month can see how their contribution helps to fund individual Wag Teams making a difference in the region, even close to their own neighbourhoods.
Corporate Friends – local businesses funding one or multiple Visiting Wag Teams each year. In return they have an annual Press Paws sessions in their own workplaces, where our teams tell stories of the difference they’re making with their help, share lots of lovely doggy cuddles, relieving stress and boosting morale! Perfect couple of hours!
We’re delighted to welcome our most recent Corporate Friend of Wag, Tyne Tunnel!!
Community friends are care homes making a monthly contribution, they move straight to the top of our waiting list and are guaranteed at least one visit per month! We’re delighted to welcome Whorlton Grange Care Home in Westerhope in Newcastle upon Tyne this month, who in turn are about to welcome Daisy the Havanese!
We’d love to grow our Friends of Wag so that more people, whether at home, in care, or in hospital, can have the pleasure of a four legged friend in their life again, not forgetting the friendship of the rather nice two legged one a the same time! Find out more >
