Walk for Wag…anywhere is back!
Take a walk on the Wag side… anytime, any place.
We’re very excited to announce the relaunch of Walk for Wag… Anywhere, a chance to enjoy the outdoors, stretch your legs, and make a difference for older dog lovers across the North East.
Back in 2020, our incredible supporters took on the challenge of Walking for Wag… Anywhere, as we were unable to host our usual Walk for Wag event due to Covid. This is our biggest fundraising event every year, and the support of everyone who got out and walked for us was truly inspiring, so thank you!
Now it’s back, and we can’t wait to see where, how, and who you take the challenge on with!
Whether it’s a scenic stroll by the coast, a challenging hike, or a fun walk with friends, family, or colleagues – this is your walk, your route, your Walk for Wag. We’ve even pulled together a few walk ideas across the North East to get you started!
We’ll send you your Wag walker pack, including a t-shirt and doggy bandana to wear with pride. In return, we’re asking each adult walker to aim to raise at least £50 to support our work. Every step you take helps us continue offering our services free of charge to older people, because no one should feel alone.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get walking!

Our usual Walk for Wag event will be taking place on 13th September at Derwent Water, and registrations for that will be opening in June, so keep an eye out if you’d like to get involved with that, too.
