Mrs S is 77 and lives alone in Newcastle. Mrs S has health issues which really get her down. She’s no longer leaving the house or taking part in any of the activities she used to love, and she can’t have a dog in her life any more, either. Life is feeling a bit dark, and regular visits from Wag friends with two and four legs will bring some light into her life and give her something to look forward to again. Any smaller type dog would be wonderful, but she’d think she’d won the Lottery if her new friend was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!

Mrs G is 84, and since her separation, she has lived alone in Newcastle in sheltered accommodation. She’s always loved dogs; she had Spaniels and Red Setters, but it’s no longer possible. As she’s lost family and friends in the last couple of years, she’s struggling with feeling lonely. Your regular visits and cuddles with your lovely dog will change Mrs G’s world!

Mrs B is 80. She lost her husband and her dog, and she now lives alone in Newcastle. She sees her daughter regularly, but even so, she still spends more time alone than she’d like, and she’s finding her days long and lonely. She really misses having a dog at home – she had Chihuahuas and Corgis mainly – but now she can’t manage a dog of her own, and she’d love to have a new friend to visit. Could you spare some time to visit Mrs B?

Mrs R is 83 and lives alone near Darlington. She absolutely loves dogs, and she always had one – typically Border Collies and Old English Sheepdogs, but she also had rescues and bred her own dogs, so a dog has always had a place in her home and in her life, and she really, really misses them.  Mrs R would love a larger breed of dog to visit regularly and to give her that special relationship in her life again, and make her world feel brighter. Is your big cuddle monster her new best friend?

Mr G is 84 and he lives alone now after he lost his wife. Mr G lives with a number of health issues and he misses his wife and the many dogs they had over the years terribly. Even though he has close family, he still spends more time on his own than he’d like, and life can feel quite lonely.  Mr G is hoping for a dog of any size to visit, and over time, he – and his referrer from the local NHS Trust – would love to see him going out for the odd short walk over time if everyone feels safe and happy. Are you and your lovely dog going to be Mr G’s new friends?
