Wag featured on BBC Look North and Radio Newcastle

Wag had two incredible moments in the spotlight in July, helping us spread the word about the power of Friendship Dogs and the growing need for more volunteers across the North East.

Firstly, Wag Volunteer Emma, beautiful Friendship Dog Pringle, and Elsie, one of the lovely older people they visit, appeared on BBC Look North with Diane. Emma and Elsie shared their heartwarming story, and Diane issued a shout-out for new volunteers to join our Wag family. It was a lovely segment that captured what Wag is all about.

And that’s not all, because Emma and Pringle were also invited onto the BBC Radio Newcastle Breakfast Show with Matt Bailey, where they spoke about their volunteering journey and the difference Wag has made, not just in Elsie’s life, but in their own too.

A huge thank you to BBC Look North and BBC Radio Newcastle for helping us share our mission. And to Diane, Emma, Pringle, and Elsie for spreading the word!
