Ms T, 91, is widowed and lives on her own in her own home. She has had a Visiting Wag Team until recently, when, sadly, our beautiful Hallie passed away. Whilst she is still great friends with Hallie’s ‘mum’, Lesley, she now misses the company of a dog terribly again. Ms T is really lonely and isolated and has no family, so another two-legged friend and a cuddly dog in her life again will make such a difference to her.
Sunderland
Mrs T is 90 and lives on her own in Sunderland. She loves big dogs; her last one was a Dalmatian, but sadly, it’s not possible to have one of her own now.
Mrs T is virtually housebound and spends more time alone than she’d like. She would love to have Wag friends visiting regularly, a lovely dog to cuddle again and a fellow dog lover for a regular chat over a cuppa. Could your dog make Mrs T’s life feel brighter?

Mrs C, 86, lives on her own since sadly losing her husband shortly after he retired 20 years ago. She has a very supportive family, but they can’t be there all the time, and she spends more time than she’d like on her own. She suffers from multiple health problems and finds herself feeling lonely and sad a lot of the time.
When her husband was alive, they had an Irish Setter that they adored, and she tragically died just before Mrs C’s husband. She’s still a big miss for Mrs C, and she talks about her all the time.
Mrs C would really benefit from the company of a lovely dog again, ideally an Irish Setter of course, but any larger dog, for cuddles and treats and a lovely friend to have a regular chat over a cuppa, will be absolutely perfect! Could it be you?

Mrs M was widowed over five years ago, and she sadly lost her dog around the same time, too. She’s always had dogs – Collies, Labradors and Dalmatians – but it’s no longer possible to have one of her own, and of course she misses them terribly. We can all imagine what that must feel like, and you can help. With just an hour or two most weeks, for a chat, a cuppa and a cuddle with your special dog, you can make a world of difference to her life and make a new friend at the same time.

Mrs L is 78 and now lives alone in a flat in an Assisted Living complex. She loves dogs and, really sadly, had to rehome her beloved Jack Russell recently after having a fall while walking her. So so sad! After her fall, she is feeling really isolated and lonely, and she’s unable to get out much or at all. She really only sees carers and medical staff now, and so having a lovely new friend for a chat and a cuppa and their lovely dog will be just what the doctor ordered!

Mrs N is 77 and lives alone in her own home with no family locally. She goes most days without seeing anyone, and for health reasons, it’s very hard for her to go out now. Mrs N has had dogs all of her life and adores them, especially big ones. Unfortunately, due to her health conditions, she knows that she could never look after one again, which makes her really sad. If you and your large pooch could spare an hour or two most weeks, it would really give Mrs N something to look forward to.
