10-Year Awards

We’re 10! It’s amazing how fast the years have gone! For the first few years, we were consumed with how Wag could work, how we would keep everyone safe, whether we could recruit enough new volunteers, what staff and technological skills we absolutely need and what could we afford and how we would raise the funds to pay for what we all knew to be an essential service, reuniting older people with dogs in our region.
Since then, it’s wonderful to be able to say that Wag has achieved more than we ever could have hoped; we have watched you, Wag volunteers, change lives. Together we’ve enabled more than 228,000 individual visits, and we’ve raised more than £1.8 million pounds! What a team! Each one of us 10-year-long servers having played a big part in actually making Wag happen.
We couldn’t let the moment pass without marking it in some way, and we are very grateful to our Corporate Friends, Arco Experts In Safety, who have donated unique Wag & Company Responsible Soft Shell Fleeces with the new 10-Year Award logo.

Many thanks to everyone for being a really big part of this lovely, important Wag & Company story – here’s to the next 10 and next year’s 10-year award winners too!
