Hazel and Friendship Dog Lukah visit Mrs L in Middlesborough 

Mrs L is 97 and lives alone. She lost her husband some years ago, and their son lives in Australia. Mrs L can’t get on her own now, so she spends a great deal of time on her own, and she can feel quite isolated.

Mrs L absolutely loves dogs and misses them terribly. Up until now, she has always had a dog in her life and usually on her lap: Shih Tzus, a Bichon Frise, and Spaniels. So when she heard a little 2-year-old Dachshund X called Lukah was headed her way, she was absolutely delighted!

Lukah and Hazel actually made their first visit on Mrs L’s birthday in October last year, which made it extra special. Now Mrs L loves having Lukah in her life. They enjoy treats and cuddles, and then Lukah usually settles down for a snooze while Mrs L and Hazel have a chat over a cuppa. Perfect!
