Kathryn and Friendship Dog Sprocket visit Mrs H in Newcastle

Mrs H is 79 and lives alone now in extra care housing since losing her beloved husband. They always had a dog in their lives – various breeds – but for health reasons, Mrs H can’t have a dog of her own now and she really misses them. She had also been spending a lot of time on her own, and group activities are not her cup of tea, so her referrer from Search in Newcastle realised that Wag & Company visits would be perfect for Mrs H. 

Friendship Dog Sprocket the Labradoodle and his ‘mum’ Kathryn started visiting Mrs H in December last year, and it was love at first sight. In fact, the referrer told us she’d never seen Mrs H look so happy!

Mrs H now looks forward to her regular visits. She really enjoys seeing Sprocket, throwing a ball for him and swapping treats for cuddles, as well as having a chat over a cuppa with Kathryn, of course; just what the Doctor ordered!
