Registration opens at 0900 and closes at 11 so please arrive no later than 10.45 to register for the walk itself.
Come as early as you like though, it's such a beautiful place to wander around and get a coffee or even treat yourself to breakfast from The Hide from 0900.
Various things will also be going on from 0900, starting off with the face painter, cake and raffle ticket sales, the Hexham Uketeers, the dogs from Northumbria Police Dog Section and who knows what else! It'll be a great day out that's for sure!
Your all important Walker number, of course! But also its worth checking out the weather forecast the day before and making sure you're dressed for it. We've been lucky every time, wonderful sunshine at Kielder and very few midges but this is Northumberland and things change!
Personally, we would recommend sunscreen, midge repellant and a light waterproof plus if you're bringing a dog, your other doggie accoutrement including poo bags of course!
You will also need to either bring a reusable water bottle or buy a Walking for Wag bottle on the day or from our online shop in advance.
Only a very small number of check in type activities at the Walk for Wag are indoors. The Tipi is a large and well ventilated space, tables will be correctly spaced and whilst there is now no legal requirement for people to wear face coverings indoors, our team supporting you indoors will wear face protection.
We will respect whatever decision on masks indoors that you choose to go with.
We hope that our adult walkers will be double vaccinated and that if anyone feels unwell they will either let us know they can't come or complete a negative lateral flow test in advance.
All Marshalls on the day will have masks in the event of an incident where they may unusually need to get close.
The majority of activities will be outside and we recommend that everyone operates to hands, face, space in the same way as they would in any other social outdoor walk setting.
