It costs £400 a year for each Visiting Wag Team.  Your support provides special friends for older dog lovers in the community.

Connie and friends at Park House Care Home talk about the joy their Visiting Wag Team brings.

Your Friendship can change lives and the need for our unique visiting service has never been greater!

Loneliness and social isolation are big issues in the North East. 17.3% of our population are over 65 and many live alone. Over 51,000 pensioners in our region describe themselves as lonely, with the tv as their main source of company. Many of them are dog lovers, at 36%, the North East has the highest proportion of dog owning households in the UK.

By becoming a Friend of Wag, you will be funding professionally assessed Visiting Wag Teams in our region and enabling many more life changing friendships in people’s own homes, in care or in hospitals.

I simply cannot describe how it felt to see the contentment on Mam's face once she was able to spend time with her tremendously patient and loving friend Kobe and his extremely special owner Olivia.
