You (and your running shoes!) have the power to make a difference…

Run for Wag & Company and we can provide life-changing friendships thanks to your support.

To register, you’d need to pay the £62 token fee and make a fundraising pledge of £400 - funding 1 Visiting Wag Team changing lives for a whole year!

You’ll also get encouragement and support from Wag throughout your training, plus a Wag-tastic #RunForWag top and Wag water bottle!

Enabling a Visiting Wag Team

Runners securing one of our charity places in the 2024 Great North Run pledge to raise £400, the cost of one Visiting Wag Team; a professionally assessed volunteer and their special Friendship Dog.

These wonderful teams create lifelong friendships and provide much valued companionship to older dog lovers within our communities.

What a difference they make for people who often receive less than a visit a week from family and friends.

Support Wag through your own place...

Do you have your own Great North Run place?  We'd love you to join #TeamWag!

By fundraising through your own place you can help ensure no older person misses friendship and the company of a dog.

Our amazing 2023 runners!

A brilliant team of 6 runners took on the 2023 Great North Run as part of #TeamWag.

Some of our special Friendship Dogs joined the crowds to cheer them on, with the team raising £4,700, enabling nearly 12 Visiting Wag Teams for a year.  Wonderful. Thank you!
