First big care home groups – Solehawk and Popular Care – sign up to become Community Friends of Wag!

We had such a lovely morning at Kenton Hall Care Home in Newcastle earlier this month celebrating parent group, Solehawk, becoming a Community Friend of Wag.
This means that not only will the Solehawk and Popular care homes in the North East get top priority for regular Wag visits but they will also be contributing to our home visiting service in their communities!
Steve Massey, Operations Director, said: “We know the value of visits from dogs and other animals to our care homes, so to support Wag & Company was an easy decision. Our residents will benefit greatly from the experience and to be able to share this with older people in our local communities who live alone is equally rewarding. I really can’t wait to start seeing the picture of the dogs at our homes, and the big smiles of our residents.”
Visiting Wag Team, Kate & Wedgie have been visiting everyone at Kenton Hall every week since September 2018 and have some great friends who love having a cuddle and giving Wedgie his apple treats – he’s weight watching!
We’re looking forward to introducing more Visiting Wag Teams across all their care homes in the coming weeks!
